Linda Marie Hillbegan her "Odyssey" on the wellness path when her daughter Anne was born with an immature nervous system. As a child, Anne's condition worsened from "hyperactive" toddler to a teacher's nightmare, pushing Linda into a quest to find natural ways to help bring the body into balance.
A Home Economics major, Linda built on that foundation to advance her knowledge of food chemistry; that strengthened her belief in the importance of natural, live foods. Subsequent studies of herbal remedies and aromatherapy was a natural progression.
In the '70s she was fortunate to be invited to a prayer group that focused on the power of prayer to heal. This group focused on the work of Edgar Casey, who is considered a front-runner in the current Mind-Body-Spirit connection. This connection began reawakening the miraculous gift ofintuition.
Returning to school in the '80s Linda received her Master's degree in special education. As a special education teacher and coach, she has used many alternative techniques and participated in ongoing training to learn and develop strategies to weave into the WELLNESS tapestry.
Trinity Point Agape Center was founded in 1997, where Linda Marie conducts a healing prayer group, sees individual clients and teaches classes. She has earned an international reputation, teaching, lecturing and counseling individuals in healing sessions abroad. In the past several years, Linda has taught workshops and conducted individual healing sessions in Switzerland, Belgium and France. Her latest European teaching tour included six cities. She is devoted to awakening the intuitive healer inherent in all people.
In Plattsburgh, New York, Linda has written a weekly Mind/Body/Spirit Column since 1999. She is often called upon to speak to local groups, and spends time each year sharing her expertise with students at Clinton Community College, Plattsburgh State University and the staff at Champlain Valley Physicians Hospital. Linda Marie continues to expand her knowledge through workshops and conferences in the United States, Canada, Mexico, Israel, Jordan and Egypt. The foundation and inspiration for her teaching and healing work comes from the work of Deepak Chopra, MD; Wayne Dyer; Candace Pert, MD; Herbert Benson, MD; Norman Shealey, MD; Mayan Elder Hunbatz Men; Bolivian Shaman; Chamalu;James and Salley Redfield and many others.
